Please join us (w/ food and drinks!) as Aaron Grothe presents “Java Without JVM??”

Abstract: Java and the JVM, are like peanut butter and jelly, Batman and Robin, or Bert and Ernie. Things that are considered inseparable.

This talk will be an introduction to some of the options to run java without a conventional JVM. It will be an introduction to alternatives like GraalVM native compilation, Wasm options, jlink (minimal jvm), and a few other examples.

It will hopefully give Java developers a new perspective of Java and the JVM. There might also be a bit of unikernel in the talk as well :-)

Schedule: Food and Networking: 5:30 - 6:00 Presentation: 6:00 - 7:00 Post-talk drinks and conversation too!
