Topic: Liquibase (http://liquibase.org) is an open-source tool for tracking and applying database schema changes as code. Changes can be made in development, deployed to test, and then deployed to production in a clean, repeatable manner. This talk will give you an overview of Liquibase, its extensible syntax, its internals, and some techniques for integrating it in your development cycle.

About the speaker: Nick Wertzberger is currently leading an effort to automate aspects of working with relational databases inside of Union Pacific, including initial provisioning and ongoing changes to application schemas. He has previously led efforts for automation of application platform provisioning and centralization of logs at Union Pacific. His hobbies include experimenting with machine learning algorithms, and writing EDM.
